Since 2016, the Export Initiative Environmental Protection (EXI) has worked on behalf of the German Federal Environment Ministry to promote ‘green’ innovations, products and services at an international level. Funding is provided to projects from German green tech companies in seven action areas.

The Export Initiative Environmental Protection  (EXI) is celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2026. Since the funding programme was launched, more than 200 projects have been implemented in 97 countries.
