Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Value Chain in Kenya: A Baseline Study.
The publication provides a comprehensive overview of the WEEE value chain in Nairobi, including legal, institutional and operational structures as well as sustainable business models for e-waste management. It is based on data collection from September 2024 to May 2025 and highlights both the formal and informal sectors. Special contributions were made by EWIK (informal sector), Ecologicon GmbH (business models) and Minimise GmbH (case study on e-waste collection). The study is aimed at stakeholders in and outside Kenya to promote sustainable solutions and opportunities in the management of WEEE.
