From the 2019/12/01 until the 2020/12/31 the uve GmbH created 7 country profiles, alongside with the associated partners Sachsen Wasser GmbH, German Water Partnership e.V., eclareon GmbH and Black Forest Solution GmbH with an overall cross-sectoral usable part and a specific part of the recycling and water management industry in Egypt, Albania, Armenia, Ghana, Colombia, Sri Lanka and Tunisia. The country profiles were initiated and funded by the Export Initiative Environmental Technologies of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conversation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), involving both export-networks German Water Partnership (GWP) and German RETech Partnership (RETech).
The profiles were authored by members of GWP und RETech with experience in and contacts to the respective countries. In October 2020, these profiles and current market trends have been discussed between the authors of the country profiles, member companies of both sector networks, interested representatives of other SMEs on the basis of 7 online presentations.
Following the discussion, a concept paper (country profile roadmap) for the 7 countries was produced, promoting export measures for the market development of German SMEs. These are based on the lessons learned from the country profiles, taking into account the already available funding instrument of the federal government.
