Publication

This publication documents the inter-municipal cooperation of four communities in Ukraine’s Poltava Region aimed at modernising local waste management systems. It outlines the process from joint planning and legal formalisation to the implementation of a sustainable and economically viable waste management model.

The publication highlights key success factors such as governance structures, infrastructure development, communication and awareness-raising activities, and practical implementation experience. It is complemented by insights into German-Ukrainian cooperation, including study visits, expert forums and exchanges with German partner institutions.
